What is KeyDefend?

KeyDefend is a simple desktop application that randomizes your keystrokes as you type to prevent hackers from knowing what you are typing.

Why do I need KeyDefend?

The growing threat of hackers who are stealing your online banking account information, social media accounts, and any sensitive information is taking it's toll on people of the internet. KeyDefend's role in defeating these hackers lies in the way we protect the keys you are typing. Even if you have keyloggers that are logging your keystrokes, our technology is able to protect you.
Q.
I have an anti-virus and anti-spyware software installed. Won't this work?
A.
No! Anti-Virus and anti-spyware software are able to pick up what is detectable. The most severe threats are the ones that go undetected by anti-viruses and anti-spyware software. By utilizing the power of KeyDefend, you are protected, regardless if the threat is a known one or not. This is something that no anti-virus or anti-spyware software can do, ever!

Do I have to turn KeyDefend on each time I start my computer?
A.
No! KeyDefend automatically starts itself up. You will see the green overlay window signifying you are being protected as you type!

How do I know if KeyDefend is on?
A.
You should see the green overlay window show up as you type. You will know you are protected in that application as you type.
Q.
I have a password manager, like LastPass, KeePass, or Norton Safe, will this protect me?
A.
Not entirely! You still need to be sure your master password is protected, and any other information you may need to type also needs to be protected. This type of software does not protect every keystroke you type!

What if I don't connect to the internet?
A.
KeyDefend still has you covered. It lies deep within your computer's operating system. KeyDefend is protecting your keystrokes typed while online and offline.
Q.
How do I get updates for KeyDefend?
A.
KeyDefend automatically updates! There is nothing you need to do, no matter what version you are running! We handle all of the updates automatically so you can rest easy.
Q.
An application I want to use with KeyDefend protection is not supported!
A.
Contact us by writing an email to: support@keydefend.com and we will do our best to get it supported.

Do I have to pay every year to renew KeyDefend?
A.
Yes, in order to provide you with on-going protection and the latest updates to KeyDefend, we require that KeyDefend be renewed yearly. However, renewals are subject to 50% off the purchase price! Stay safe!
Q.
How long does it take for my product key to come?
A.
Product keys are generally sent immediately after your purchase is complete. If you did not receive it, please check your junk/spam folders and see if it landed in there.
Q.
I did not receive my product key - what do I do?
A.
After double checking your email, spam folder, and junk folder, feel free to reach out in our live chat and ask for them to send you your product key, or contact us by email: sales@keydefend.com
Q.
I got a different computer, can I move my KeyDefend subscription over to it?
A.
Yes! Please email us or contact our live chat with your full name, time of purchase, and we'll re-generate a new product key for you. NOTE: The old one will no longer work and KeyDefend will be disabled on the old machine.

Which version of KeyDefend is right for me?
A.
We have a free version, a professional version, and a premium version. Free version is limited to only a single browser, and meant to showcase the capabilities of KeyDefend. Professional is the median and provides protection for most applications used by desktop users. Premium is the all out protection that makes sure you are protected in as many applications as we support. It is the full protection and recommended for those who want such. I can't get KeyDefend installed?
A.
Please follow our quick start guide to get you up and running in no time.
Q.
I just updated and now I'm having issues?
A.
Try uninstalling KeyDefend and reinstalling it. This should fix any issues and ensure you got the latest version.
Q.
How do I move the green overlay window?
A.
Click on the arrow icon that is on the green overlay window. It will move the overlay window

I found a bug! Who do I report it to?
A.
